Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has rejected the information provided by the Ministry of Information regarding meetings with the party’s chairman, alleging that court orders allowing his family members and lawyers to meet him have not been implemented, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Addressing a press conference alongside Latif Khosa and other PTI leaders, Salman Akram Raja said the Islamabad High Court had issued an order in March 2025 allowing the PTI founder to meet his family members and lawyers.
He said jail rules also allowed two meetings per week, but claimed that the Islamabad High Court’s order had not been implemented even once.
Raja alleged that the government had allowed meetings only with lawyers of its own choosing, adding that the PTI founder had been denied separate meetings with his legal team despite facing more than 300 cases.
He further said that meetings between the PTI founder and his sisters were stopped in October 2025 and after a meeting with Dr Uzma in November 2025, the next meeting took place on August 18, 2026.
He said that the PTI founder had remained in solitary confinement from October 2025 until August 18, 2026, rejecting claims in an official report that he was being kept in a compound consisting of seven cells.
Raja further alleged that the PTI founder had been denied the opportunity to move around the jail during designated hours.
