PFF General Secretary Manizeh Zainli has resigned from her post and has informed the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) normalisation committee in this regard.
Manizeh said it was her personal decision to step down as secretary of the PFF normalisation Committee.
Earlier, Manizeh and normalisation committee were at odds when she got a stay from a civil court in Lahore in October last, preventing the PFF normalisation committee from removing her from her post after differences developed between her and the FIFA-appointed body.
According to reports, the PFF normalisation committee wanted to remove Manizeh from her post citing financial irregularities. Manizeh had made similar allegations against the PFF normalisation Committee.
Manizeh, appointed to the post in March this year. In its last meeting, FIFA has extended the mandate of PFF normalisation committee for another six months to look after the affairs of the Pakistan football.
The Bureau of the FIFA Council has decided to extend the mandate of the PFF normalisation committee, which was due to expire on 31 December 2020, until all tasks have been completed, but until no later than 30 June 2021.
The decision was taken with the primary objective of allowing the normalisation committee to fulfil all of the tasks entrusted to it in its mandate.
In addition, following the decision of the chairman of the normalisation committee to step down from his position by the end of 2020, FIFA will appoint a new chairperson in due course, who will have to pass an eligibility check to be carried out by the FIFA Review Committee in accordance with the FIFA Governance Regulations.
