The year, 2021, did not end on a promising note for the people of Punjab in general, and the people of Lahore in particular, as an air quality index (AQI) of 373 once again made the Punjab capital the world’s most polluted city on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On the other hand, the weather is quite chilly in Lahore and other parts of the province as most of the plains were blanketed by fog early in the morning.
Poor visibility due to the fog disrupted traffic flow, especially on highways and motorways not only in Punjab but also in Sindh.
Motorway M-3, from Faizpur, Lahore to Jarranwala was closed for traffic.
Similarly, M-2 from Thokar Niaz Beg in Lahore to Pandi Bhattian was also closed for traffic.
Likewise, M-5 from Uch Sharif to Zahir Pir had also to be closed on account of fog.
