The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) with 7,261 votes emerged as the most popular political party as per the results of an election survey conducted by the City News Network (CNN), in continuation of its years-old tradition, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The survey was conducted in the National Assembly constituency NA-127, Lahore on Saturday.
The PML-N with 7,087 votes stood on the second position in the survey, which the CNN conducts prior to every general election in order to know the public mood.
Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TTP) secured 1,246 votes and stood on the third position.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) received 1,152 votes and remained on fourth position.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) with 454 votes was the fifth most popular party with the electorate in the constituency.
However, 930 respondents said they would not vote for any party.
A sample of 20,000 votes was taken, while 200 teams consisting of 400 office employees went door to door between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to enable people to cast their votes. The mode of balloting was secret.
It is worth mentioning here that the results of the survey that the network had conducted prior to the general elections of 2018 were closest to those of the elections.
The transparency of the survey was ensured.
