In anticipation of the snowfall season, Murree's traffic police have unveiled a comprehensive plan to manage traffic and ensure the safety of residents and tourists.
According to the details, the plan encompasses a series of measures aimed at streamlining vehicular movement and enhancing the overall experience for visitors to the picturesque hill station.
As part of the plan, the entry of heavy vehicles into the city will be prohibited, contributing to smoother traffic flow. Additionally, designated points have been allocated for car parking, addressing concerns related to congestion and ensuring efficient space utilization.
To further assist tourists during the snowfall season, an emergency helpline, 051-9269200, has been introduced. This helpline aims to provide quick and efficient support to individuals in need, enhancing overall safety and convenience.
Key thoroughfares such as Kashmir Point, Mall Road, Guldana Road, and others have been closed for two-way traffic, aligning with the strategy to manage and control the flow of vehicles during adverse weather conditions.
For enhanced convenience, two traffic control rooms have been established at Jinnah Hall Murree and Suni Bank Traffic Picket. These control rooms will serve as central hubs for coordination and assistance, ensuring a swift response to any arising issues. Furthermore, 12 facilitation centres have been strategically positioned to provide on-the-ground support for tourists navigating through the winter wonderland of Murree.
