Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued instructions for strict observance of the policy of one-dish and timely closure of banquet halls for wedding ceremonies, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
The Chief Minister instructed all Commissioners, RPOs, Deputy Commissioners, and DPOs across the province to ensure the strict implementation of regulations tonight during wedding events.
He placed special emphasis on thorough checks at wedding halls and farmhouses to curb violations of the One-Dish Policy and event timing constraints.
The crackdown comes in response to concerns about lavish and wasteful practices at weddings, including the disregard for the One-Dish Policy and non-compliance with designated event timings.
CM Naqvi emphasized that there will be no leniency for those violating the One-Dish Policy or event timing regulations.
