The Afghan Taliban have proved to be hostile towards education since as per the claim made by The Afghanistan Analysts Network (AAN), the rulers of Afghanistan have completely banned the publication and sale of over 670 university and other books, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to a report, the Taliban have shut down universities and libraries besides banning the publication of curriculum books as well as those penned down by women and Iranian scholars, while there is already no culture of research in the country.

The report says that such policies introduced by the Taliban have put the future of the Afghan youth in jeopardy.

Similar revelations have been made by Hasht-e-Subh, a publication.

The AAN has revealed that the Taliban have removed subjects such as sociology and philosophy from syllabuses.

The publication has said that the Taliban are particularly opposed to female education.
