The Federal Ministry of Finance on Wednesday released its monthly economic outlook report, indicating continued improvement in key economic indicators and stability in the country’s financial position.

According to the report, inflation is expected to range between 5.5 and 6.5 percent in December, reflecting manageable price pressures. The Ministry highlighted that positive economic measures are supporting long-term growth prospects.

Industrial activity has been picking up, while the agriculture sector is showing signs of stabilization. In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, Pakistan’s overall economic growth rate stood at 3.71 percent, with the agriculture sector growing by 2.89 percent and industry by 9.38 percent. The services sector recorded a 2.35 percent increase during the same period.

The report also noted a continued rise in remittances from Pakistanis abroad and a significant increase in foreign exchange reserves, reaching their highest level since March 2022. Pakistan recently received $1.2 billion following a successful review by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), further strengthening the country’s financial position.

The Ministry emphasized that the country’s financial situation remains stable and that the economy is receiving immediate support from both domestic and international measures.
