Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday received a telephone call from Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk Region, during which the two leaders exchanged New Year greetings and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
According to a spokesperson for the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Fahd extended warm wishes for the New Year and expressed goodwill towards Pakistan.
Ishaq Dar reciprocated the sentiments, and both leaders recalled their previous meetings and long-standing contacts, expressing satisfaction with the existing level of cooperation between the two sides.
During the conversation, Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz invited the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to visit the Tabuk Region, underscoring the close and friendly nature of bilateral relations.
The spokesperson said both sides agreed on the importance of expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest and enhancing people-to-people and institutional linkages.
Ishaq Dar appreciated Prince Fahd’s personal role and continued interest in promoting and strengthening Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening strategic, diplomatic, and economic cooperation with the Kingdom.
