Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday visited the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) centre in Karachi and listened to the public’s complaints on the spot, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The NADRA Centre is located in the Defence area of Karachi and is functioning round the clock. During his visit, Mohsin Naqvi ordered redressal of some complaints on the spot.
Mohsin Naqvi immediately took notice of a man’s complaint according to which a death certificate of his living wife was issued. The Interior Minister was directed to correct the mistake on the spot.
Another woman informed Mohsin Naqvi that her name was mentioned incorrectly in her CNIC. The Interior Minister directed that the mistake be corrected without taking any charges. He directed all staff to resolve citizens' issues on priority basis.
Mohsin Naqvi visited every counter and asked the people about the complaints.
Mohsin Naqvi advised NADRA staff that citizens' complaints and matters should be solved during their first visit instead of asking them to visit again and again.
