Another bank van was robbed in Karachi’s Korangi area, where armed robbers snatched Rs 9.7 million cash and escaped from the scene on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police, the robbers took Rs9.7 million from the guards of the cash van outside a private bank and made off with it. The two guards got injured when they tried to resist the robbers.
The witnesses said the robbers opened fire on the cash van and police team came very late to the scene of the crime.
Tariq Nawaz, SSP Korangi reached the site and reviewed the footage of CCTV cameras and collected other evidences.
He told media that the robbers left their car at the scene and ran away in another vehicle. SSP Korangi said Crime Scene unit, Special Investigation unit and squads of CTD were collecting the evidence for further investigation.
