The death toll from the avalanche on Broad Peak, the world's 12th-highest mountain, has risen to eight after rescuers located the bodies of four more missing climbers, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
According to officials, the latest discoveries bring the total number of recovered bodies to eight.
Of the four bodies found on Friday morning, the remains of three climbers have been airlifted to Skardu by helicopter.
A search and rescue operation is continuing to locate two climbers who remain missing.
Rescue teams are battling difficult terrain and harsh weather conditions on the 8,047-metre peak in the Karakoram mountain range.
GB provincial Minister for Tourism Neknam Karim said every possible effort was being made to trace the missing climbers, adding that the Tourism Department was providing logistical support to the rescue teams.
Broad Peak, standing at 8,047 metres, is the 12th-highest mountain in the world and is located in Pakistan's Karakoram range. The mountain is regarded as one of the world's most challenging climbing destinations.
