Sindh Department of Livestock and Fisheries issued an emergency alert for fishermen for two days, i.e., August 1-2, and advised them to stay away from the deep sea, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
A spokesman of the Department of Livestock and Fisheries said that the decision was taken after the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issued an alert about bad weather and stormy conditions at sea.
The Department of Livestock and Fisheries has instructed fishermen to exercise caution.
Fisheries Department has been directed to ensure the safety of fishermen's lives and property. Livestock and Fisheries Department directs boats in coastal areas to relocate to safe locations.
The spokesman further advised the fishermen to return with their boats immediately specially on August 1 and 2.
The spokesman warned of strict action in case of violation of the government’s order. He said that in case of any emergency, fishermen can contact relevant officials on a priority basis.
The Department of Livestock and Fisheries restricted all the fishermen of Sindh from going to the deep sea until further orders.
