A three-storey building which was located on the Murree Expressway, Lacot, collapsed amid heavy rain on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, the Municipal Corporation Murree has already declared the building as “dangerous”.
On the directives of the Deputy Commissioner Murree, the Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation.
No loss of life was reported from the site so far. Deputy Commissioner Murree said that the administration will conduct a thorough investigation into the construction and collapse of a dangerous building.
He advised the travellers to adopt precautionary measures before the start of their journey, especially during this rainy season.
Meanwhile, intermittent monsoon rains continue in the 'Queen of the Hills'. The weather turned pleasant after the rain; cool breezes and mist enhanced the beauty.
A large number of tourists reached Murree to enjoy the rainy season. The district administration advised citizens to adopt precautionary measures during rain.
