Senate Election: ECP issues final list of 59 candidates

Election on 11 KP seats in limbo, election on remaining 30 seats on April 2

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has published a final list of candidates vying for the Senate election for the vacant 48 seats which will be held on April 2, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Overall 59 candidates are vying for 48 seats while it is pertinent to mention that out of 48 seats, 18 candidates have been elected unopposed.
However, the Senate election on 11 seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was in jeopardy, while the election on the remaining 30 Senate seats will be held on April 2.
Elections will be held on 12 seats in Sindh, 5 seats in Punjab, and 2 seats in the federal capital Islamabad. Printing of ballot papers and delivery of election materials to the returning officers has already been completed.
