Country celebrates Eidul Fitr with religious enthusiasm, zeal, fervour: PM, other leadership offer prayers in Lahore: President, PM urge to share affluence and support needy: CJCSC, Services Chiefs extend greetings to nation

The nation celebrated Eidul Fitr on Monday with religious fervour, enthusiasm and cultural traditions, as people across the country offered prayers for national unity, peace, and prosperity, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The day commenced with special congregational prayers at mosques and Eidgahs, where worshippers sought divine blessings for the country’s progress and security.

On this joyous occasion, the country’s leadership emphasized the importance of remembering those in need and urged citizens to contribute generously to charity.

President Zardari offers Eid prayers in Nawabshah

President Asif Ali Zardari offered Eidul Fitr prayers at Zardari House in Nawabshah on Monday.

On this occasion, the President prayed for the security, development and prosperity of the country.

A large number of political and social personalities, along with PPP workers and the public, joined the President for the Eid prayers at Zardari House in Nawabshah. Afterwards, the President met with the people and extended Eid greetings.

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Provincial Minister Ali Hassan Zardari, Zia ul Hassan Lanjar and other leaders were also present on the occasion.

PM Shehbaz in Lahore

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz Sharif offered Eid prayers at Model Town in Lahore.

Meanwhile, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif performed Eid prayers at Jati Umrah, where Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was also present.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, along with Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, also celebrated Eid in Lahore.

Eid special delicacies

Eid is a time of joy and togetherness, with families coming together to celebrate the auspicious occasion. People donned traditional attire, visited loved ones, and exchanged sweets and gifts as part of the festivities.

Special delicacies such as sheer khurma and various meat dishes were prepared, adding to the culinary delight of the occasion.

Children excitedly collected Eidi from elders, further enhancing the festive spirit.

The nation remains hopeful for continued peace and prosperity as Eid ul Fitr serves as a reminder of unity, generosity, and gratitude.

In Islamabad, main Eid congregation was held at Faisal Mosque, where government dignitaries, foreign diplomats besides common people offered Eid prayers.

President, PM urge unity

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in their messages of Eid-ul-Fitr have urged the nation to remember on this blessed occasion those who are facing economic hardships.

In their separate messages, they appealed the people to share joys of Eidul Fitr with deserving and destitute and play their role in transforming a welfare society. They also extended their heartfelt felicitation to the entire nation and the Muslim world on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.

The president also prayed for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir to get freedom and the opportunity to celebrate Eid in peace.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that Pakistan currently facing threats from both internal and external enemies. He stressed need to avoid all forms of extremism, hatred, and sectarianism.

To ensure the nation's integrity and stability, he called for unity and vigilance to prevent any conspiracy from succeeding.

Shehbaz Sharif said government is making every effort to achieve economic recovery, maintain peace and order, and ensure social stability. He commended the sacrifices of the armed forces in the fight against terrorism and extended solidarity to the bereaved families of the martyrs.

CJCSC, Services Chiefs extend greetings

The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Service Chiefs have also extended their heartfelt Eidul Fitr greetings to all Pakistanis.

According to the ISPR, in their messages, they said Eidul Fitr, marking the conclusion of Ramazan, stands as a symbol of unity, compassion, and gratitude.

They said this auspicious occasion affords us the opportunity to reflect upon the unwavering valor and commitment of our national heroes who safeguard our freedom and sovereignty.

The statement said the Armed Forces remain deeply appreciative of the sacrifices made by these courageous individuals and the enduring support of their families.
