Police in Lahore have arrested a cycle mechanic who sexually abused a boy in Kot Lakhpat area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The incident took place in the village Chand Rai. The accused lured the boy and took him to his house after his duty.
Later, the accused sexually abused the 11-year-old boy at his home and escaped from the scene after leaving the boy at Shanghai Bridge. Upon asking, the boy informed his father about the incident.
Station House Officer (SHO) Afzaal Rauf said that the father of the victim, Kashif, filed an application for registration of a first information report (FIR) against the accused.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Jehandad Akram said that police transferred the case to the gender cell after registering a case against the accused Nafees.
He said that the police adopted a zero tolerance policy against accused involved in violence against children.
