Federal Ministry for Interior on Tuesday declared the leaked audio of the home secretary on social media fake and started legal action against it.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Home Ministry issued a statement and said the audiotape attributed to the Federal Home Secretary on social media is completely fake.
The ministry said the audiotape has been created for seemingly nefarious purposes, adding that legal action is being taken against those who viral the fake audiotapes.
The ministry spokesman has said that the Home Secretary has also issued instructions to Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA) Director General for action.
Home Ministry spokesman advised the social media users that they should not share such fake and unverified audiotapes with their accounts.
The spokesman also warned that legal action may also be taken against social media users who share fake and unverified tapes.
