Employees of education department in Sindh have committed fraud of Rs70 million with BISP beneficiaries during fiscal year 2022-2023, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
According to the audit report of Benazir Income Support Program in Dadu district, 314 employees including primary school teachers, watchmen and sweepers had received money illegally in the names of their family members.
The concerned department had issued notices to the victims for the recovery of funds but no one followed the orders. Resultantly Sindh Education Department has issued notices to the perpetrators again for recovery of embezzled funds.
Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Secretary Amer Ali Ahmad identified education department employees in Dadu District who had embezzled Rs 70 million of BISP funds during the fiscal year 2022-2023.
