Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has issued a clarification after finding herself at the center of a controversy involving fellow actress Dananeer Mobeen.
Taking to her Instagram story, Alizeh clarified that her video was never meant as a jab at “the girl” (Dananeer) and questioned why people assumed it was directed at her.
Responding to the backlash, she explained that the video was simply a clip in which she was singing the line “Mosam zara sa bigra,” and that holding her nose was just part of the joke.
She added that it was meant in humour, (possibly referring to a change in weather or a blocked nose).
Alizeh further stated that she never mentioned “the girl” by name, does not know her personally and has never met her.
She also said that "the girl" is acting as if the world revolves around her.

She claimed that the situation was being exaggerated for attention and suggested it may be linked to the promotion of an upcoming drama.
Alizeh Shah also pointed towards Dananeer’s manager, accusing him of trying to create unnecessary controversy.
She added that she had previously hired the same manager about five years ago but ended the professional relationship after a month.
Concluding her statement, Alizeh told manager Umer Mukhtar to come out of his delusional world, saying that she is unstoppable by such tactics.
The controversy began after Dananeer Mobeen was seen in an interview singing the popular song Saiyaara.
A few hours later, Alizeh Shah uploaded a separate video in which she was seen singing the same song.
Initially, social media users believed Alizeh was mocking Dananeer, similar to a previous incident involving singer Zoiha Waseem.
However, Alizeh later issued a clarification denying all such claims.
