Punjab colleges with low enrolment to be outsourced

Punjab Education Ministry has decided to outsource colleges with low enrollment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Action will also be taken against colleges and teachers making fake enrollment.

The Ministry of Education also has decided to rationalize colleges after schools.

More than 750 college teachers in Punjab will be rationalized based on their enrollment.

Surplus teachers from the student-teacher ratio will come under the category of rationalization policy.

According to Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, rationalization policy will be applied to teachers in colleges with low enrollment. 

Education Minister said colleges facing enrollment challenges will also be outsourced.

Colleges and commerce colleges with low enrollment will be outsourced, Rana Sikandar Hayat said.

College teachers have three months to improve enrollment, Education Minister warned.

He said strong action will be taken against colleges and teachers making fake enrollment.

Commerce colleges are also being converted into e-commerce colleges, Education Minister said.
