The information of presence of a bomb in the precincts of Supreme Court Karachi registry on Friday turned out to be a hoax as the bomb disposal squad cleared the area after thoroughly combing it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The BDS after searching the entire length and breadth of the Karachi registry declared it safe as the squad could not trace any explosive device planted there. 

The police also succeeded in arresting the caller who gave false information regarding the presence of bomb in the building. 

SP Sadr Division Zahida Parveen said police received information of a bomb placed in the Karachi registry on a phone call at 11:40am. She said police had traced the caller and arrested him and were interrogating him.
