Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah has said the people are paying the price for government’s incompetence, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Talking to the media after appearing in an Accountability Court (AC) in Sukkur, he said government’s stubbornness was to blame for the present tense political situation, which, he said, the country’s enemies were exploiting.

Khurshid was of the view that the narrow-minded PTI government did not have any intention to hold negotiations with the opposition.

He claimed that the PPP had launched many projects of public welfare when it was in power at the Centre.

He further claimed that inflation-hit people were with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) despite so much pressure on them not to do so.

Senior PPP leader said that the opposition had held out an olive branch to the government, but did not get anything in return.

Khurshid said that delay in the pronouncement of verdict in PTI’s foreign funding case showed there was something ‘fishy’.
