Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met former premier Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Sunday, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Ongoing political situation and measures to mitigate the sufferings of the people came under discussion during the meeting. 

Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Malik Ahmad Khan and Chaudhry Shafi Hussain were also present.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that he spent more than ten years in government and opposition and heaped praise on Shehbaz Sharif for being the first prime minister who focus on agriculture in the budget.

No significant work has been done on agriculture in the past, he said adding that practical steps has been taken for farmers and growers and the finance minister used simple and public language in the budget.

The subsidy on tractors is now being given directly to the consumer and Instead of importing the seeds, they should be grown in Pakistan for the benefit of the consumers. 

 Condolence 

Also, PM Shehbaz visited the residence of senior Salman Ghani and he extended his condolences to Salman Ghani on his brother’s demise.

Senior journalists Sajjad Mir, Mujibur Rahman Shami, and others were also present.

The PM also expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in the Quetta bus accident. He prayed the Almighty may rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to the families to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude. Instructions have been issued to provide the best medical care to the injured.
