The largest social media platform Facebook has yet again closed dozens of accounts from Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.

Facebook has released its annual report regarding the suspicious accounts according to which, it has removed 40 accounts, 25 pages, six groups and 28 Instagram accounts that all belonged to Pakistan.

According to Facebook, all these accounts belonged to an Islamabad-Rawalpindi based public relations company Alpha Pro.

According to Facebook, their research has revealed that some of these networks belonged to that network whose accounts had been removed by the social media platform in 2019.

Facebook has also shut down some accounts that belonged to Russia and Sudan.

According to a BBC report, Facebook has hired the services of a company Graphica that conducts research on the social media platforms to prepare this report.

Graphica has noted in its report that a network was propagating a specific narrative through such accounts.
