The Sindh Government has contacted the Pakistan Cricket Board to show its readiness to host the next phase of Pakistan Super League as scheduled in Karachi.

Sindh has assured the PCB that their health experts have given clearance for the matches as the coronavirus situation is under control.

Karachi was the first city where Pakistan’s first coronavirus patient has emerged and until now total two out of four cases in Pakistan have been reported in the port city.

Sindh government is also taking precautionary measures as it would install thermal scanners to check the spectators before they enter the stadium and would provide hand sanitizers all over the National Stadium. A private company has offered its assistance to the Sindh government and would install over 200 sanitizers all over the stadium during the matches.

Special health official would also be deputed at 11 entry points of the stadium along with the security officials. The provincial government has also requested all such persons and their families not to come to the stadium to see the PSL matches who have recently returned from Iran or China.

The second phase of the PSL at Karachi would start from March 12.
