The Pakistan Super League franchises Thursday vented their anger over Pakistan cricket Board’s inability to hold a safe and secure Pakistan Super League, reported 24News HD TV channel.

According to details, the foreign players had threatened to leave the country over the sudden emergence of coronavirus cases in the league and their threat led to the postponement of the league.

The foreign players were determined to leave Pakistan as soon as possible that left the PCB with no choice but to postpone the event.

The PCB’s administrative failure is evident from the fact that it failed to keep the PSL 6 secure at a time when the coronavirus cases are at a decline in the country and other Twenty20 leagues and sports event have been already conducted successfully around the globe without any glitch.

To save its face, the PCB has also offered the PSL franchises to hold the remainder of the PSL without foreign players, which they declined outrightly and the Board has no other choice but to postpone the league and is now facing a huge amount of financial losses at a time when the questions of sustainability have already been raised regarding the project.

The PSL franchises owners have held the PCB responsible for its administrative failure to keep the league safe.

Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana said the PCB failed to implement the biosecure bubble guidelines and even forgave a franchise owner for hugging his players.

Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal also raised the question over the PCB’s arrangement for the league.

He said there is no precedent of holding a three-day isolation period and standard isolation should have been of seven days.

He said the hotels, where the players were stationed, kept hosting marriage functions and even the kitchens of these hotels remained open to all.
