Sri Lankan PM praises Pakistan’s support in the hour of need

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan met Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the latter’s office on Thursday.

Mahinda Rajapaksa praised Pakistan’s unwavering support to Sri Lanka in its hour of need and reiterated the resolve to continue with efforts to strengthen bilateral ties.  The Air Chief expressed his gratitude to the Sri Lankan leadership for showing hospitality extended by the people of Sri Lanka.

He said the people of Pakistan and Sri Lanka have deep-rooted historic and cultural links and the two nations always stood by each other. He laid emphasis on continuing joint efforts for maintaining peace in the region.

Earlier on his arrival at Columbo airport, Air Marshal Sudarshana Karagoda Pathirana, Commander Sri Lanka Air Force, received him.
