Lieutenant General (r) Nazir Ahmed has been appointed as National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

A meeting was also held between the opposition leader and the prime minister for the appointment of the new chairman.

After the resignation of Aftab Sultan, the consultation for the new chairman of NAB was held.
