Government announces 20pc cut in private school fee

Authorities have notified 20 percent cut in private school fees with effect from April to onward. The education ministry and the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (Peira) issued the notification to provide relief to the covid-hit people.

The concession has been announced for the schools that have more than Rs,8000 per month tuition fee. Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood shared a notification, directing the educational institutes to provide fee concession from April till their reopening of the institute.

Last year Shafqat Mehmood said that private schools collecting more than Rs5000 monthly tuition fees have been directed to give 20 percent concession for the first six months after the resumption of educational activities.
