Three arrested over Waziristan ride collapse

Three persons were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the collapse of a ride in North Waziristan which had left at least 37 people injured, many of them were children, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The owner of the ride and his two associates were among those who had been arrested, police said.

They were arrested on the orders of Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan, police added.

It is to be noted here that at least 37 people, many of them were children, had sustained injuries after a ride in Miranshah, North Waziristan collapsed on the first day of Eid.

The injured were rushed to Miranshah District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for medical treatment.

According to the hospital management, many of the injured were discharged after first aid. At least 17 children are under treatment at the hospital. One child was shifted to a hospital in Bannu for being critical.
