A matric-passed “local engineer” in Punjab city of Arifwala has again built a small aircraft on self-help basis and is now waiting permission from the concerned government authorities to fly it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Muhammad Fayyaz, a popcorn seller and a security guard by profession, collected the required parts from scrap leaders and then built the plane on his own.

Fayyaz got arrested five years ago when he built his first aeroplane and was conducting trial run when the police apprehended him.

Fayyaz now claimed that he can make a better plane if the government supports him.

Five years ago, Fayyaz had built his first aircraft by spending all his savings and a bank loan of Rs50,000. The police had arrested him and confiscated his plane during the trial run at an open field. However, he was later released by a local court after Rs3,000 fine and the authorities also returned the plane to him.
