PTI senior leaders have started opposition over the nomination of MNA Sher Afzal Marwat as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to inside information, PTI leaders Asad Qaiser, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Junaid Akbar and Zain Qureshi have also started lobbying for the coveted post.

The senior PTI leaders are of the view that this post should be given to some senior members of the party.

Owing to differences among the opposition’s ranks, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has not yet received any name for the post of PAC chairman.

According to legal experts, none of the Opposition members can become PAC chairman without the consent of the incumbent Government.
