The Punjab School Education Department has decided to take strict action against school heads who do not provide details of annual development budget, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to directive of the department, more than 21000 schools did not provide the details of the annual development budget 2024-25 and about 80 percent of schools in Lahore also failed to provide budget details.

The School Education Department while taking strict notice of the matter has ordered the heads of schools to provide details of annual development budget by May 31.

Schools that do not provide details will not be released the budget for the next year, text of directive said.  

Funds will be released to schools, providing details and if the details are not provided by the given deadline, action will be taken against the school heads, says the text of directive.
