Bollywood gets a lot of criticism for its blatant plagiarism of Pakistani songs. The industry has almost become synonymous with plagiarism.

Not only music and lyrics have been plagiarized but scripts of Pakistani drama serials have also been lifted. Several Indian songs have also been “inspired” by Pakistani musicians in a way that even the lyrics are not amended or changed.

This time again, Indian playback artist Arijit Singh, new track Sayyonee has been slammed by the Pakistani public for plagiarising Pakistani song Sayyonee from the famous band Junoon.

A clip from the track has been circulating on social media and it has taken no time for fans to recognise the tune and call out the plagiarism.

Here's what Pakistanis have had to say about the new Sayyonee.
