Positivity ratio drops to 2.84 as Pakistan reports 27 more Corona deaths

The fourth wave of coronavirus continues to decline in Pakistan as the positivity ratio reduced to 2.84%, showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.

Pakistan reported 27 more coronavirus deaths and 1,490 new cases that emerged during the last 24 hours (Sunday).

According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 27 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 27,893, which represents a ratio of 2.2 percent.

The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan has reached 2.84 percent, as 1,490 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 52,415 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 1,251,348.

The number of active cases in the country is 46,206 with 3,407patients in critical condition.

There were 1,760 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 1,177,249 with a 94.1% recovery rate.

Punjab

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 477 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 433,286 with 16,048 active cases. In Punjab, 13 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 12,685. With 990 new recoveries, 404,553 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

Sindh

Sindh has recorded 719 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 460,111 with 22,696 active cases. With 2 new deaths related to the deadly disease, the death toll in Sindh reached 7,427. With 451 new recoveries, 429,988 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 181 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 174,671 with 4,326 active cases. The province reported 9 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 5,580. With 160 new recoveries, 164,765 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan

Balochistan has recorded another 25 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 32,981 with 178 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll remains at 349. With 11 new recoveries, 32,454 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Islamabad

Islamabad has recorded 69 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 105,733 with 2,272 active cases. With 1 new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll reached at 928. With 75 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 102,533 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 18 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 34,234 with 526 active cases. With no new death reported, the death toll remains at 738. There were 51 new recoveries in the AJK as 32,970 patients have recovered so far from the virus.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit-Baltistan recorded 1 new case during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached 10,332 with 160 active cases. With 2 new deaths reported in the province the death toll reached at 186. There were 22 new recoveries as the number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reached 9,986.
