Fraudsters have been able to cheat the Islamabad administration as they developed fake arms licences which are very difficult, if not impossible, to be identified, said 24NewsHD TV channel in an exclusive report on Friday.

According to details, the administration was forced to come into action as hundreds of bogus licences surfaced in the federal capital which had been forged in Lahore while using the same issuing authority’s name – the Islamabad deputy commissioner.

Sources say the cheating became possible as the federal capital administration failed to compile an online record. However, a decision has now been made to shift the entire record on online to trace all the bogus documents, they added.

On the other hand, the sources said although the Lahore administration had been informed about the practice and requested to take necessary action to control the same, they failed to make any progress on the issue.
