A total of 10 shopkeepers were arrested for profiteering and defying the rule of displaying the rate list in the federal capital.

On the direction of the DC, Magistrate Saddar Zone Mir Yameen led a team to inspect shops in Tarnol B-17 Multi Gardens.

He conducted a check on milk, curd, vegetable, fruit, chicken, and general stores and tandoors as well.

He also checked the weight and rate of roti and naan. The shopkeepers were advised to ensure the sale of fruits and vegetables according to the quality and official rate list.

The arrested shopkeepers were transferred to Tarnol police station for further legal action.
