WhatsApp, an instant messaging service, will soon launch a new feature called 'send messages to yourself' for users all around the world. The messaging app, which is owned by Meta, is currently developing an update that will enable users to text on their own chat on connected devices.

As per Wabetainfo, “when you are searching for contacts within WhatsApp Desktop beta, you will be able to send messages to yourself by tapping your personal chat in the future.

Note that this chat will also show up when you try to log into WhatsApp from another different mobile device when the feature will be released to people at a later date.

As always, even if the screenshot is taken from WhatsApp Desktop beta, WhatsApp also plans to introduce the same feature to WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS as well when it is possible to use a secondary phone as a linked device.”

It is currently undefined when the upgrade will receive a broader user because it is now undergoing data testing.

However, since its development is already well in progress, the majority of users might begin utilizing it in a matter of weeks at most.

Once the feature is released, it will probably provide a much-needed features to WhatsApp Web and other applications for multiple devices.

Despite some emerging rivals like Signal and Telegram, updates like these can help WhatsApp continue its domination of the instant messaging business.
