Hassan praised Parvez for taking the initiative as the head of an elected house, saying: “This is a good step. This committee will play a dynamic role in efforts to get over the coronavirus crisis.”

He continued: “In any crisis, the role of an elected assembly is of paramount importance. Parvez has always been an active politician to get the people out of such critical situations.”

Last month, the Punjab Assembly speaker deposited Rs25.6 million in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Reportedly, he has submitted his one month salary in the relief fund as well. He motivated the lawmakers to donate for the cause.
