The government has issued a notification for deploying civil armed forces across the country to ensure law and order during Muharram, reported 24 News HD TV on Friday.

All the provinces besides the government of Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad administration had requested the federal government for the deployment of army and civil armed forces for maintaining law and order situation peaceful during Muharram.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had sent the summary to the Prime Minister for approval of the Cabinet. The Prime Minister directed the approval of the summary through circulation.

Resultantly, the notification was issued after the approval of the federal cabinet.

Earlier, the government established a Control Room to monitor the security situation during Muharram. Besides, special teams have also been formed for the security of Muharram processions and gatherings.
