Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has appointed Rear Admiral Jawad Ahmed as Chairman of the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), reported 24 News HD TV Channel Friday.

Establishment Division Islamabad issued a notification in this regard.

PNSC is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. Previously, the admiral was serving as Commander West.

It is pertinent to mention here, Jawad Ahmed got commissioned in Operations Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1992.

The Flag Officer is a graduate of Pakistan Navy War College Lahore, National Defence University, Islamabad and Bangladesh Navy War College. He has performed various duties during his tenure. The Admiral is recipient of Sitara-e-lmtiaz.
