If you have a ‘Killer Instinct’, you can become a millionaire as New York City is looking for rat-killing experts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

It is estimated that around 18 million rats are infesting the New York City of USA and the city's administration is searching for someone to help get rid of the rats.

Last Monday, the New York City Mayor's Office issued a job advertisement for a 'citywide director of rodent reduction' or a "rat czar."

The director will get a salary of Rs30 million to Rs40 million ($120,000 to $170,000) per year, the ad reads.

The director will be responsible for formulating plans, supervising projects, and directing teams in the fight against the city's rat infestation.

Mayor of New York City Eric Adams placed the advertisement and offered a sizable reward to anybody who could stop the rat infestation.

According to Adams, anyone with experience in project management or urban planning is eligible to apply.

The job description further mentions that the successful applicant would get up to $170,000 and that they must possess the desire and killing instinct necessary to eradicate the rat population.

The ad reads, "Clever, voracious, and prolific, the rats of New York City are renowned for their survival skills, but they don't run this city – we do."

City Mayor Adams in October while addressing a press conference declared that the battle against the growing rat population in the city is on the same list as the fight against crime and inequality to make New York a better place to live.
