Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq Monday visited Peshawar to enquire after Sepoy Israr Mohammad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In his series of Tweets, Muhammad Sadiq penned that SSG Sepoy Israr Mohammad took bullets on his chest to protect Chargé d’Affaires (CdA) to Afghanistan Ubaid ur Rehman Nizamani during a terrorist attack on Pakistan’s embassy in Kabul.

Nizamani was the target of the assailants. They missed Nizamani, but the embassy security guard Sepoy Israr Mohammad was critically wounded in the attack while protecting the ambassador, he added.  

Later, Israr was evacuated to CMH Peshawar by a special plane. Israr displayed extraordinary courage & devotion to duty.

“He is doing well MaShaAllah. All the vitals are stable. He is in high spirits.

He had undergone a major surgery yesterday, he said adding that met his family and doctors also. They said he didn't complain at all and was actually consoling the family that he was okay, he added.
