A strange protest launched by Jamaat-i-Islami’s Member of Provincial Assembly has cost him dearly as police have registered a case of illegal confinement against him in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to details, JI MPA Syed Abdul Rashid locked himself from inside along with the XEN in latter’s office in a bid to record his protest against electricity woes in his area.

The MPA said that he took this step to register his protest in support of his people who were facing difficulties in supply of electricity. He said that cases against him could not deter him from completing his mission and could not break his resolve.

He said this time round, he locked himself and XEN in latter’s office but next time he would block roads after taking with him people of Lyari as he had other options, too, to lodge his protest.
