Two LHC benches to hear death row inmates’ appeals from Feb 7

The Lahore High Court (LHC) Saturday constituted two division benches to hear the petitions of death row inmates, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, two division benches will hear the cases of death row prisoners from February 7 to March 5, 2022. The appeals will be heard on daily basis from Monday to Friday. 

The first bench will be comprised of Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan and Justice Asjad Javed Gharal.

While the second bench will be consisted of Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi and Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar.

As per the Justice Project Pakistan report, there are 3,831 people on death row in Pakistan and 516 people executed in Pakistan since Dec 2014.
