Quetta Gladiators beat Peshawar Zalmi by three runs in exhibition match

Quetta Gladiators Sunday defeated Peshawar Zalmi by three runs in the exhibition match of the eighth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Quetta Gladiators clinched the victory in a thrilling finish against Peshawar Zalmi.

While chasing 185 runs, Peshawar Zalmi team managed to score 181 for 7 wickets.

Guetta Gladiators had scored 184 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Iftikhar Ahmed of Quetta Gladiators hit 6 sixes in the last over of Wahab Riaz.

Iftikhar remained not out with 94 runs off 50 balls.

PSL exhibition match resumed

The exhibition match of the eighth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) was resumed on Sunday.

The match was stopped temporarily after some youths lit fire outside Bugti Stadium, Quetta.

The match was put on hold after smoke from the fire rose in the air.

The youths also threw stones at the score board.

The exhibition match of the PSL 8th edition was being played between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam had won the toss and decided to bowl first against Quetta Gladiators in the exhibition match.

At least 16 HD cameras, including drones, had been installed to telecast the match live on PTV Sports.

A special pitch had been prepared for the exhibition match. Temporary seats had also been installed for the spectators.

It merits a mention here that tickets for the match had been sold out within two days.

Cricket returns to Quetta after 27 years

With the exhibition match of the PSL eighth edition, cricket has returned to Bugti Stadium in Quetta after 27 years.

The stadium was filled with the spectators to watch the match between the PSL foes — Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.

Sarfraz Ahmed represented Quetta Gladiators while Babar Azam represented Peshawar Zalmi in the exhibition match.

The fans were excited over the return of cricket in Quetta.
