Govt okays Rs7.91 increase in power tariff in phases

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the massive increase of basic electricity tariff by Rs7.91 in phases, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The federal government approved the Nepra recommendation to hike the power tariff.
As per the plan, Rs3.50 per unit of electricity will be increased from first July and same will be added from first of August while 91 paisas per unit will be increased by first of October.
