Pakistan Army shot down another Indian spy quadcopter along the Line of Control (LoC) on Friday.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian quadcopter was brought down in Khanjar Sector along LoC which was in clear violation of the Pakistani airspace.

In this provocative act, the ISPR statement said, the Indian quadcopter intruded 500 metres inside Pakistan’s territory for conducting surveillance. This blatant act was aggressively responded by the Pakistan Army troops and shot down the Indian quadcopter, the ISPR said.

This is 8th Indian quadcopter shot down by Pakistan Army this year. Such unwarranted acts by the Indian army are a clear violation of the established norms, existing Air Agreement between the two countries and reflected the Indian army’s consistent disregard to the Ceasefire Understanding of 2003, the ISPR statement concluded.

Two days ago, the ISPR Director General Maj General Babar Iftikhar warned India that Pakistan would firmly respond to any misadventure.

Talking to a private TV channel programme, Maj General Babar Iftikhar said: “Pakistan is ready to any military adventurism and there will be uncontrollable and unintended consequences.

“Indians saw it’s manifestation last year. Let’s not play with the fire,” Gen Babar said.

The military spokesman rejected the Indian allegations of so-called launchpad and infiltration. He said UN military observers are free to go anywhere here but India has never allowed international media and observers on its side of the border.
