French ambassador calls on Parvez Elahi

French Ambassador to Pakistan Marc Baréty called on Punjab Acting Governor Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at Governor’s House in Lahore on Thursday.

The two sides exchanged views on relations between the two countries and matters of mutual interest. The French ambassador said that establishment of the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) during Parvez’s tenure as Punjab chief minister was an important step and it helped in protection and preservation of the cultural heritage of Lahore. He said that France would strengthen its relations with Pakistan in the economic sector in future.

Parvez said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was playing his role effectively for peace and progress in the region. He said that Pakistan wanted to have relations with neighbouring countries on the basis of equality.
